I’m a 30-something first time mom – and it shows. Sofia just turned three and she’s got a little sister on the way this June. This blog has existed for several months now and I’m getting a feel for what it is that I like writing about – what comes easy to me.
I’m kind of about easy right now.
The Pickahling name is the word Sofia came up with because she couldn’t pronounce the word ‘picnic’. I love Sofia, I love picnics and I really love writing this blog and the blogging community.
This blog is currently about family with Sofia well entrenched in her Terrible Threes, a baby on the way, a husband who works a lot but wants to train for triathlon(s) again we have a lot going on from day to day.
And it would be easy to get overwhelmed. But instead of letting that happen I’ll just take it day by day, tap into my resources and work on being the best me which in turn will help my family become the best they can be.
It’s like when you’re on an airplane and they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first before helping others. It’s not selfish – it’s survival.
