I called the radon SOS hotline.  I was a recording with the option of speaking with a live person.  If you leave you mailing address they will send you some more information on radon and coupons for radon testing.  Easy. I still have not purchased a carbon monoxide monitor.  I been to two big box stores [...]

In researching more on the topic of indoor air pollution and carbon monoxide Radon kept coming up.  Radon, radon, radon.  I had no idea what it was – dust was so much more approachable, understandable and those dust mite pictures – well, they spoke for themselves and Carbon Monoxide has gotten a lot more press. I love hearty, dense foods.  Whole grains – yum.  Not much processed food in my house and I’m always looking for recipes – especially for baked goods that use whole wheat flour instead of over processed, nutritionally depleted All Purpose flour.  Using the whole wheat makes me feel less guilty about the fat content although sometimes [...]

Lovin’

After completely jinxing myself last week with mentioning the sunny warm weather because the rest of the week has been rotten, dark and dismal.  BUT there are some great  things I’ve been enjoying: Jon getting more used to his cpap mask – sleeping 5-6 hours straight.  The first night that happened he woke up before [...]

Before Sofia wakes up and we start another busy weekend full of  weddings, family and friends.  Today will be spent making our annual trip to the Puyallup Fair.  It’s massive, the fair I grew up with and am so exicted to share with Sofia.  Oh, it will be a long day fullof new sites [...]

Wow, last week I decided to tackle Sofia’s bedroom, alotting about 30 minutes.  That was a major underestimation.  The the ease with which a 2.5 year old can become distracted is amazing – and frustrating.
